WooCommerce + ChatGPT — FAQ

How do I connect WooCommerce to ChatGPT?

Generate read-only API keys in WP Admin → WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, paste them into connector.wtf, then add the MCP URL we give you to ChatGPT (Connectors), Claude or Cursor. Setup is under two minutes.

Does the connector work with multiple WooCommerce stores?

Yes. Add as many stores as you want. The MCP exposes a list_stores tool so the AI can pick the right one (or you can name it explicitly).

Can ChatGPT change orders or products?

No. We require Read permission on the API keys you generate, so the AI can only read data — never create, update, or delete.

Does this work for self-hosted WordPress?

Yes — anywhere WooCommerce runs over https. Hosted WordPress.com sites need a Business plan or higher to install WooCommerce.

How are my API keys stored?

AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest, decrypted only inside server functions when an authorized request comes through. The browser never sees them after submit.

How much does it cost?

Free during beta.
