Search Console + ChatGPT — FAQ

How do I connect Search Console to ChatGPT?

Sign in with Google, grant the Search Console read scope, then add the MCP URL to ChatGPT (Connectors), Claude or Cursor. Done in under a minute.

Does it work with multiple sites?

Yes. gsc_list_sites returns every verified property on your account, and every query tool takes a site_url parameter.

Can ChatGPT change Search Console settings?

No. We request only the webmasters.readonly scope, so the AI can read performance data but never submit URLs, change ownership, or alter sitemaps.

How far back can it query?

Search Console exposes ~16 months of historical data. The MCP defaults to the last 28 days but you can request any range up to that limit.

Are credentials safe?

Your Google OAuth refresh token is encrypted at rest and only decrypted server-side when an authorized MCP request comes through.

How much does it cost?

Free during beta.
